Let’s get one thing straight: if you're waiting for life to feel magical on its own, you’ll be waiting a long damn time. The real secret to a joyful, soulful life? You create the magic. And one of the best ways to do that is to gather your people—gently, joyfully, and with wine (or mocktails, if that is your vibe).

That’s right, my darling: One of the easiest, fastest, and most delicious ways to add magic to your life is to host a gathering.
Yes, you. Even if you live in a one-bedroom with questionable lighting and a cat with boundary issues.

Support this magical mayhem for 5 dollars a month. Your future self will toast you!

So let me take you back...

The Anniversary Party That Almost Broke Me

Once upon a time (aka before my marriage blew up, and I started living like a gorgeous hedonist in a tiny condo) I tried to throw the most swoon-worthy ten-year anniversary party Pinterest never saw coming. I’m talking finger sandwiches, champagne on ice, charcuterie that looked like it belonged in an art museum. Tulle everywhere. My patio was giving Versailles.

I lit 100 tea lights and floated them in the pool like a witchy Martha Stewart. I wanted magic. Instead, I got manic. I was flitting around in a lace dress like a rabid moth, muttering about deviled eggs.

Then, a good friend pulled me aside and said, “A relaxed host makes a good party.”

I stopped.
I took a breath.
I had a glass of champagne. (Fine, two.)
And she was right. The party ended up being lovely, not because everything was perfect, but because I stopped trying to be.

Fast-forward to now: divorced, in love, and living with my dreamy human in a one-bedroom condo. No yard. No pool. No tulle in sight. But guess what? I still throw fabulous parties. Magical ones. Intimate, hilarious, unforgettable ones.

And you can, too.

So let me show you how to host a cheeky, low-budget, high-vibe gathering that actually makes you want to do it again.
